The Year

I will worship You
through the year.
My Lord I know You will hear,
the prayers of Your children dear
and guide them to safely,
and bring them near.

Christmas Miracle

That a baby could become a king,
has happened often in history.
But the true wonder and miracle,
is for a King to become a baby!

Good King Wenceslas

This is my singing of the classic Christmas carol.
Thanks for listening.

He's Colored My Life

The Lord has given,
the world great light,
and given hues,
to black and white.
He's taken darkness,
from my soul,
and made my life,

Ecclesiastes 5:4 (paraphrased and rhymed)

When to God,
you vow a vow,,
delay not,
from paying now,
or complete,
in careless leisure,
for a fool,
gives God,
no pleasure.

The Great Oversight

The tragedy of
a lived life,
that contains a great
By accumulating
all one can afford
yet not having
a life in the Lord.

Never Stylish

The current and the stylish,
will all fade away.
But the Word of God's forever.
One must follow it and pray.
The reward is life eternal,
with joy and peace within.
This day for those without,
is a good one to begin.

If I neglect,
to stop and pray,
and speak with God,
at the start of day,
and listen to what,
He has to say,
I feel unsafe,
unsure of the way.

I Was The Worst (based on Timothy 13-17)

I was a blasphemer and persecutor,
and insolent opponent,
yet I received mercy and grace,
though I didn't deserve it.
Jesus came into the world,
to save those with sin's curse.
Among the many sinful,
I confess I am the worst.
Yet Christ forgives with perfect patience,
and redeemed me from my treason,
I worship and praise my God,
who has granted me freedom.

Bedtime Prayers

A child will say,
their bedtime prayers,
and speak to God,
of all their cares.
Yet adults can learn,
at this scene so mild,
how to please God with,
the faith of a child.

To Giggle To Laugh

To smile,
to giggle,
or to laugh,
makes a happy life,
that moves so fast.
A heart is full,
and speaks
glad words,
if it possesses,
the joy of the Lord.

A Good Read

You can read the newspaper,
but it may not be the truth.
You can't rely on the tales,
that were told as a youth.
There is a reliable source,
you may of read or have heard.
The font of truth,
is to be found in God's Word.

No Record

No remembrance or record,
of wrongs we have done.

We are washed and forgiven,
in the love of God’s Son.

The Battle Fierce

The struggle is long,
the battle fierce,
repelling thoughts,
that seek to pierce.

Yet the shield of faith,
repels evil’s darts,
and the love of God,
fills my heart.

Carefree With Thee

I seek not fame,
or to live carefree.
I only desire
to be close to thee.
You are my life,
my everything.
You are God,
my Lord and King.

Stream Of Dreams

Like a shadow,
as if a dream,
life passes,
in times stream.

We flow towards,
a world above,
and leave behind,
imprints of love.

Philippians 2:14–15 (Paraphrased And Rhymed)

Do all things,
without murmuring,
or dispute.
Be blameless,
and harmless,
sons of God,
without rebuke,

in the midst of a crooked,
and very,
perverse nation,

among whom you shine,
as lights,
within creation.

The Prayer of the Optina Elders

Grant unto me, O Lord, that with peace of mind I may face all that this new day is to bring.
Grant unto me to dedicate myself completely to Thy Holy Will.
For every hour of this day, instruct and support me in all things.
Whatsoever tidings I may receive during the day, do Thou teach me to accept tranquilly, in the firm conviction that all eventualities fulfill Thy Holy Will.
Govern Thou my thoughts and feelings in all I do and say.
When things unforeseen occur , let me not forget that all cometh down from Thee.
Teach me to behave sincerely and rationally toward every member of my family, that I may bring confusion and sorrow to none.
Bestow upon me, my Lord, strength to endure the fatigue of the day, and to bear my part in all its passing events.
Guide Thou my will and teach me to pray, to believe, to hope, to suffer, to forgive, and to love.

Not By My Grit

With grit and determination,
I struggled for my salvation.
My failure drove me to quit.
But Jesus obtained it.

Humble Lesson

I confess,
and have contrition.
I’ve not been,
in submission.

I’ve tried to do things,
with my own hands.
By my strength,
I’ve worked to stand.

Thus I earned,
what I could not afford.
Better to wait,
on the Lord.

Who planned success,
before I began.
Who sought,
to raise,
a humble man.

We Are Drawn

Like iron sharpens iron,
brothers increase delight.
Together we are drawn,
as by a magnet towards Christ.

Under A Cloud Of Words

Under a dark
and thick cloud of words,
the Earth's serenaded
by the songs of birds.
With the swaying of trees,
exhaling fresh air,
as men fret and battle,
nature plays unaware.
Glorious wonders
unaffected by men,
who rush
making monuments,
then end.
Never pausing to hear
the music or dance.
Ever speaking and struggling
in an attempt to advance.

Not Always Sunny

The world may not always seem,
carefree, bright and sunny.
There may be struggles in health,
or perhaps a lack of money.

In this life there is no guarantee,
that trials will ever cease,
but there is a promise from the Lord,
in Christ you will have peace.

The Legacy

The legacy of one’s life,
is not accumulated wealth.
But their love of God and others,
and their giving of themself.

I Am Relieved

From the burden of sin,
I am relieved.
The result of Christ,
in whom I believe.
He took the debt,
and paid the price,
and gave to me,
eternal life.
